The Economy Class of Motorized Treadmills is suited best for walkers and occasional very light joggers. They have smaller belt walking surface areas and motors than their higher priced counterparts. The belts and decks in this class require some lubrication and will need to be replaced every few years or so. This class of treadmill will perform considerably better than those found in Department stores or sporting goods stores. Avid runners or heavier walkers over 200lbs would be better off with a Mid-Priced treadmill. The general price range for the economy units is about $799-$1499.
