Most
treadmill manufacturers slap together a bunch of parts.
We integrate them into a finely tuned machine. The benefit
of custom-engineered components designed as a family
insure seamless integration of components working together.
And results in a pleasurable cardio workout.
For
Example:
The
Optical Encoder reads the motor speed at an average
of 600 times a second, constantly averaging the speed
input from the motor shaft to the motor controller.
The motor controller then sends more or less energy
to the Baldor motor that replicates the slight speed
variations in a walking or running stride. This produces
a consistently smooth (no pun intended) belt speed with
each footplant.

Two-fan cooling system on motor controller assembly
keeps electronics cool for longer-life (similar to
cooling fans in a personal computer). .

Optical encoding of motor speed is measured by the
PWM controller and produces a smooth, consistent motion
that adapts with each footplant on the belt. .

Pulse Width Modulation allows for much greater speed
information to be gathered, averaged, and produce
a far superior and constant belt speed. .

FRAME
Uni-weld steel construction, lifetime warranty.
The Smooth 9.3 series treadmill frames are boxed cold-rolled
steel, using combinations of thickness (8 through 12
gauge) throughout the frame. The elevation assembly,
a place of high stress, uses 8 and 10-gauge (thicker)
steel.
The
main deck frame uses 12-guage allowing for flexibility
in the full length of the treadmill during walking or
running. A balance is sought between rigidity and flexibility
in the frame design, making the Smooth 9.3 treadmill
series one of the most comfortable treadmills to walk
or run on.

ELEVATION
- Worm Gear
Effective and durable elevation mechanics designed for
years of service. 400 lbs. of thrust throughout entire
range of motion.
The elevation assembly is well thought through. Many
treadmills found on the market actually reverse the
elevation motor, causing a pulling motion at the point
of greatest stress. Our engineers use the elevation
motor (actually known as an actuator) to push during
the greatest amount of stress, adding years to the life
of the actuator. It just makes since.

treadmill.
INTEGRATED
BELT AND DECK DESIGN
The belt and deck work as a team to lessen noise and
friction. Friction between the belt and deck create
noise and higher amp-draw on the motor controller. By
using lubricated materials in the belt and deck, this
lowers the friction thereby lowering amp-draw on the
motor controller. Lower amp-draw on the motor controller
keeps in cooler and enhances longer life.
DECK
The deck on the Smooth 9.3 is built with the same thickness
used in Commercial Treadmills
It consist of a 1" Thick, Phenolic Laminate. Phenolic
helps keep deck and belt lubricated, extending life.

ELECTRONIC
DISPLAY
Intuitive electronics package includes an information
window the helps to set up each program. The Smooth
9.3 series uses advanced LED (light emitting diode)
electronics for crystal clear readouts. The quarter-mile
track includes a built in lap counter to keep track
of your distance, as well as time, speed, pace (minutes
per mile at current speed), and pulse (on heart rate
models).
Preset programs - Every Smooth 9.3 model has four basic
programs with nine different levels of intensity. Each
level of intensity changes both the speed and elevation.
Level 1 is for beginners, while Level 9 is for advanced
heart-pounding workouts.
Length of program can be user-edited from 15-99 minutes.
There are also user programs (LEARN technology) that
can be customized and saved.
It comes with a Safety Key - Can not be used by children
without safety key.
